Rally Obedience

| Rally is the newest addition to performance dog sports, providing a link from the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program to obedience or agility competition. It blends the excitement of agility and control of traditional obedience into a fun format that everyone can enjoy with his or her dog. Because Rally is more relaxed and the scoring less stringent than traditional obedience, even beginners can quickly master the skills necessary to begin winning those blue ribbons with their dogs at Rally trials. Like agility, Rally is performed on a course and handlers are encouraged to praise and interact with their dogs as they navigate the courses together. There are three levels in Rally Obedience—Novice, Advanced, and Excellent—each level is progressively more complex, but still far more casual than traditional obedience. |
